I have a text box that loads the contents of a text file, however ampersands will not render when the fla is published. If this same text is assigned to a var within the fla it works fine.
How do you get ampersands in external text files to display when loaded into a text box.
I understand why it doesn't work, just looking for a workaround.
I'm using MX pro. Thanks for any assistance.

You would think so.. But it does not display when loaded from an external file.

its this weird thing that mx has with ampersands in external txt files...I havent found anything that works besides "and"

that was my next suggestion : )

According to MM it is possible using F5, I would have assumed it was still available in MX, what with its "expanded html support " and what not (lol).
Funny thing is, all the other tags MM specifies (b, u, h ref, etc) work, Just not the ones starting with the ampersand.
I would prefer to not to use "and" seeing as its client related. Also, embedding the text in the fla sort of defeats the purpose of separation of content.
