yeah me and my laptop. i work for companies in london, but fancied a change of scene. (and cheap rent)... but creatively this city is dead.

i'm paying £50 a week for a NICE 22nd floor apartment. i have a gym, pool and sauna included in my building. it's a 20 min walk to all the bars and night clubs!

i'm learning to speak chinese at the moment. i had my 3rd lesson today. hmmm. but thinking of starting a web design business out here in a few months. there really is more opportunities here than cute chicks.

Don't forget that Chinese on their home turf are like sharks when it comes to business, just be careful you don't end up getting stung or worse, do work for some local Triad company.
You might do better by allying yourself with other small design groups for large jobs.

shanghai isn't really very chinese. drink driving legal, which is handy!
as for the food... tonight i'll be eating beef Bourguignon and drinking cabinet sauvignon.

I get tired of rice and noodles, but I know I couldn't eat chips or pasta everyday. Rotation is key.
