No, Tick, logic dictates this. matter and life do not spring from nothingness. Pasteur's experiments proved that life must come from life. Again, logical suicide to think otherwise.
trainer, no... if the nature of God is infinite, he is without beginning and without end (something our little brains can't wrap around). By nature he is uncaused - not requiring a beginning and not having one. Everything else in the universe has a beginning and thus requires a cause, by definition.

No, we need more beliefs based on self-evidentiary claims about the origins of the known universe and all things beyond.

yeah discipler, i read practially every page of that website when you first started posting it.
the stuff i copy and pasted wasn't a whole website, it was just examples of different bones that show human evolution. Why dont you counter just THAT?
ok then you give me one point and i'll counter it fuck
That's what i bin doing since the beginning of this website and you got all uppity and started accusing me of this.
You are so evasive you little munkey!

(Jun 13 05, 07:11)there's no harm is a good scientific joust/argument. It's not political at least.
- JazX0
Nope. Very wrong. I stand on the side of Evolutionary Theory, but the point of me sticking up for discipler, and you guys going off on me for it, goes to show you how you guys like to attack people just cause they disagree with your own viewpoints. Earlier, most of the claims that were made by the Evolution supporters had no scientific evidence supporting them. I just stated that he had a few good points and that I don't think the Earth is 4 Billion years old or whatever it being claimed these days and at the same token the Bible is not a good judge of this as well. That doesn't mean I don't know what Creationists are saying about it.

Somehow I think Mr. Ham believes more than just the Bible. And dobs, I don't agree with everything on that site. And without it, I'd still get valuable information from:

No, not agree to disagree. You know what I am not coddling to that and I am not going to let you off that easily. Maybe JazX will- but I'm sorry.
I really and fervently believe my country and my belief in an Enlightened Western civilization is under attack from these groups and ID is one evil, insidous way. On it's own it's fairly benign, but as part of a larger agenda, of qwhich I think I have shown here by ling to a who's who of who's running these sources of material, it's an attack on my principles and beliefs and I won't take it lightly or agree to disagree.
- discipler0
it's really pretty simple logic.

Thank god some plant decided to evolve into weed.

My Agenda:
To thoughtfully and respectfully respond to misrepresentations of the Bible and related Biblical issues, when and where appropriate.
There you have it. And yes, I, like millions of others, believe that the Bible, from cover to cover, is the inspired and infallible word of God.

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

quince i'd do it, but i don't have that kind of time. i'm from the MTV generation.
My Time is Valuable.

We have the luxury of being alive now. So how stupid would someone have to be to apply the same world view in the modern context? Are we not closer to some sort of truth and about the nature of reality?
- TheTick0
Discipler I say ID is CRAP because you can dtrut about all the PHD's you want. It's flawed science form the beginning. It has an end in mind - essentially that God created it all. You cannot dispute that fact and still have it logically fit in with the ID framework. On that caveat alone it's simply not science.
Science (good science) by definition does not explore a given phenomenon with the expectation of a certain outcome. It gathers facts and makes theories on that which can be disporven by accumulation of more evidence.
ID by it's definition starts wit the idea that a) a divine designer is behind everything around us and b) our investigations will demonstrate that.
Science would say "Is a designer behind everything?" We will gather evidence that can successfully disprove that theory...

Now don't you feel stupid? I hope you and your websites will just just shut the fuck up... WATCH!
it is fallacious to view the second law as a predictor of disorder. The second law concerns energy, not patterns of objects. The second law states that energy tends not to be restricted to one or a few energy levels in atoms and molecules, but to be dispersed to as many such levels as possible – rephrased in homely terms involving molecules, "Intense or concentrated energy tends to spread out and diffuse".
In that spreading-out process, macro objects sometimes are displaced and moved to random arrangements that humans subjectively define as "disorder". A violent wind not only can break a window in a building and blow the papers in an office all over a square mile, but also destroy the building itself. However, this is an incidental consequence of dispersing and spreading out of the energy in a tornado, not an event that is due to the innate nature or behavior of inanimate objects themselves in the absence of such an energy flow. Moving common objects around so they fall in disorder is a singular and accidental aspect of the universal tendency of energy to diffuse, not the general thrust or meaning or requirement of the second law that applies to objects.
- mrdobolina0
and you would still creep me out, discipler.
- discipler0
mrdobs, here are some good articles that will tell you about the Creationist position regarding geology and the earth's age...

Let it be known, I love this thread!
