hey guys and girls, i need your help. people call rips all the time some valid, some not so valid.
Well this is class A valid. A friend of mine got her site completely ripped.
her site: http://www.hmongblog.com
the ripper:
http://www.myscrapblog.comI did my homework.
It's Jlyne and Noel Hanback
how about this quote that says he sketching the site out
"Hubby is continuing to work on the site design for MyScrapBlog, so it really will look somewhat pretty in a few days! LOL! For now, we are just trying to get it functional and working so that us crazed scrapbookers have a special scrap-related place to record our secret ponderings. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing; or at least, in my case! HA! My thoughts are always rambling. The cool thing is that in the process, he thought of another cool scrapbook web site idea to offer everyone, free, of course. Hopefully that will come very soon, also! He is sketching out ideas for it as I type. What a guy! I should send him flowers."
she sholud give him a kick in the nuts

have you ever read "when the spirit catches you and you fall down"?
great book about the Hmong
- skelly0
I really want to know how you guys find your site being ripped off. Do you just stumble across it? Or someone familiar with your site gives you a heads up?
There must be so many rips that go unnoticed...

but damn...now i'm really curious. i'm sure there are a lot of rips that get unnoticed : \
and no nick...haven't read the book. good you say?
- Hym0
no conscience no intelect
strange people, really would like to hear their story, if they are truly fucked up they can say the design is orginally theirs
- jox0

- Hym0
hah awesome they changed it, seriously it was a blatant copy a few hours ago
- rabattski0
yeah? cool! justice!
- sureshot0
haha have you seen "featured scrapblogger" on the (EX) ripper webbie?!
damn
i don't even want her in my rabbit cage. lol
- stewart0
now that's a quick fix.
i'm sure the original also makes use of a standard blog template design?

Why do you get so offended when someone rips your site / design. The ripper just likes it and decided to use it for his own. Greatest compliment you can receive.
Besides its probably just a kid who's just started to design anyway so I don't really see any harm.
- rabattski0
haha e, let me see you so chill when someone rips your stuff, don't think you go like, oooh that's ok, fine, no problem, go ahead, it's all yours, thanks for the compliments :)
- E__________0
Probably Rabattski, but in this case it was no client work, but just some personal blog project. Maybe it would be ok if he just put a link in there to the original site. Something like:
"this site has been blatantly ripped off: url"
