I've been a PC user for 5 years and now I got a Mac. It's fucking great!!
Photoshop and Illustrator crash on me twice a week. Fontbook is a fucking joke. I have 1.5 gigs of RAM and oh...I can make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (w/ toasted bread) in the time it takes for this thing to boot up.
Make the switch people!!

jay - i found 3 typos on your site.

I've been a loyal PC user for the past 16 years. I got a Mac a month ago. So much better.....

based on what? did you all of a sudden acquire new skillsare you comparing your old crappy domestic car to your new flashy foriegn one? either way you need to know how to drive
please explain
version3
(Apr 15 05, 07:48)based on everything - faster, cleaner, less problems in general. error messages, crashes, and freezes used to be a daily thing (although XP was a big improvement for microsoft).
i know how to drive both though, and will still use them both.

I guess i just don't abuse either of my machines
the mac and pc both do whatever their told
I don't crash either of them so I just wonder where people are coming from sometimes, thanks

i fuckin hate this box in front of me today. its beautiful out, and it is the only thing between me and that beauty. i could care less if it says MAC or PC>

You guys are all missing a trick, I still work an a BBC Micro. The pinnacle of technical excellence.
- skelly0
Commodore 64 is better than all of them. And by better I mean more fun. And by fun I mean I really miss those 5.25 inch floppy disks.

bunch of pansy fucking designers. worthless lot you are. not one of you aesthetic types understands the inner working of either.
mac owners disgust me. if you run osx and can't open a fucking shell to do basic maintenance on your box, then you have no right to even start a pc/mac thread.
sit down. shut up. and go back to your ignorant "i only know software" existence.
pussies.

Gruntt:
3 typos. i am a hopeless proofreader. Couldja be so kind as to tell me where?
- skelly0
Spark, I majored in Computer Science for 2 years and enjoyed building and maintaining my own computers. I hated macs then, because they offered less control, but now I do design and I just want to turn the damn thing on and use the programs. I could care less about all that behind-the-scenes stuff, as long as Illustrator doesn't close halfway through a project I'm happy.

sparker, is Adobe making products for Linux now?
No?
- mogwai0
did anyone see that Chappelle show where he did the spoof "switch" apple computer comercial?
he was like "i used to jack of to pr0n on a PC, but now i use a mac, and i can see all kinds of detail like labia and flabia, all up in there. And i can do it while listening to WuTang on itunes"
hahahaha
- jaylarson0
mogwai, i'd love to see that. i have a love/hate relationship with TV, one where I've found that mostly i hate it... but where would I be without Twin Peaks?!
anyway, i'm sure that'll create tangents... but The Chappelle Show never ceases to amaze me!

adobe released acrobat reader 7 for linux. that's about it. i dont think they're porting their soft to it any time soon. and good riddance if you ask me, there needs to be incentive for people to write good open source software and the absence of adobe products on linux makes for a good niche.
