I stand to be corrected-
It IS the Pope anf the churches fault that AIDS exist in Africa and hell mind as well say the rest of the world. Because that son of a bitch doesn't believe in pre-marital sex for 2000 years and he refuses to help the "dying" continue to fuck with plastic on their penises!
ASSHOLE!
Doesn't the Pope realize that EVERYONE in the world listens to him (look how many do here) that he is the ONLY voice in Africa and the ONLY one who can get cheap condoms to have the nuns pass around- and if he would just approve penis wraps all the dying will cease to exist and the world can fuck once more.
--
John Paul- the king of AfricaIt is not the Popes responsibilty to let the world fuck, even if it is to prevent death-
It is his responsibility to preach the word of his lord.I wouldn't expect a Catholic Pope to promote sex nor would I expect a Jewish Rabia to do hot dog commercials.
Africa's problem need to be resolved- no doubt- but if the Popes solutions are not fitting then someone else needs to inforce the alternative.

(Feb 3 05, 06:51)gawd puter, you need to take a step back, you seem to have a very one sided and simple way of looking at this issue.
and what the hell is wrong with sex? nothing if it is safe and consentual.
- puter0
Nothing is wrong with sex- I LOVE me some sex. But I dont blame the Pope when I don't wear a condom.
I am one sided>
The remarks here are "Fuck the Pope, he says condoms have holes in them so people are dying in Africa becuase of that."
My point is the solution to Africa is bigger than the Pope or the church. And for all those who don't believe in the church (including myself) why do you then expect them to solve this problem.
The nations of the world should be resolving it, not a 89 year old man who is stuck in his ways.

i think you underestimate the power that the pope has. he and the vatican are one of, if not the most powerful and influential organizations in the world.
- dr_strangedub0
again, i need a detailed answer....
what does Christ have to do with the church?
- -leah-0
who is talking about christ?
and to answer your question i don't think christ has anything to do with the church, seeing as how twisted and conviluded the church has made the story of christ.
- puter0
I think we all tend to forget what the Vatican stands for...
sure it is rubbish-
but it is what it is. It is the teachings of 2000 years.
So you can not expect them to do otherwise- they and the problem need to be approached by other solutions-
Using condoms IS a better solution but they are not the group to provide them.

If you have a kid or catch a disease, you're not a victim (unless you're raped, of course.) you did it to yourself.

(Feb 3 05, 03:38)You are so full of shit.

(Feb 3 05, 07:07)i am not saying the catholic church should supply condoms to the world! i am saying they should promote the use of them, to not say it is a sin to protect yourself.

Well, dubs it all depends on what "church" you are talking about. If you are referring to the Catholic Church... I would suggest, he has nothing to do with it. However, if you are referring to the Church, meaning the body of believers worldwide that have a personal relationship with Christ (this is how Christ defined the Church in scripture), well then quite a bit - he founded and instituted it.
