didint read the posts above...
but eh i wouldnt buy one of 500 giga bytes...ive got a 120 and a 250 gigabyte..if you work with motion its u must.i use the 250 for zrchiven my AE projects and the final renderd mov's.
the 120 is use for working on so my powrbook hd stays nice clean empty and thus faster.

all finished projects get burned on cd. all production gets put on a lacie 120 on fridaysa and also burned on apple dvd's monthly

i have 2 internal HD's.. can i completely re-install os-x without touching the second HD, ie using it as a backup HD?

(Jan 22 05, 18:31)You should be able to, but my personal experience is with an external. I've done exactly this in my PC, though. During set up you'll be asked to which drive OSX should be installed, just like when you run a program installer.
