long term object: Steal PC share of the market
yeah, i agree, but not the way that graph shows it. But if im wrong it is a genius move.

tech and development catching up possibly, all i'm sayng is that companies like that have like long term objectives.

So why did it take them a year to release the pc ipod after the mac one, and another year to release iTunes for pc after the mac release? Im sure they have a strategy but theres no way they could predict as far ahead as that graph states

ipods have like 90% of the hard drive based mp3 player market. but only 60% of all mp3 players...
the shuffle just brings up the avergaes.
the ipod is funding the apple revolution haha

really? I can't imagine a company like apple without a strategic plan and consumer marketing and research to support it. This is just a simple graphic to display it.

seems a bit wishy washy to me. I dont think they planned it from word go, i think they just saw the differences and probably read every Mac Vs PC thread on the internet and acted on that

I like the "too cool to resist" effect.
It doesn't take into account all the original iPod owners who are all like "dude iPods used to be so dope ... now that are like so weak"

i love how their two newest products happen to be in "the sweet spot".
