my fiance is currently doing really well after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer last year.
i've currenty downgraded my theosophical status from athiest to agnostic because i seriously can't make sense of "the power of prayer". it seriously works. don't ask me how.
so sorry to hear, shellie.
i'm currently praying for you and yours, in my own agnostic way...

My husbands mum has recently had breast cancer and it's such a blow to receive news like that. She's had surgery and seems to be doing well and won't need chemo, but the thing we (and mostly she) found a good thing was not ignoring it but realising that focussing on it all the time doesn't help. Me and hubby got married this summer just gone, her son graduated and her daughter has a really great new boyf and it's been great for her to have happy things to focus on.
My prayers are with you and your family.
God Bless,
xx

wow, shellie. that is horrible news!
my mom had colon cancer - treated it with acupuncture and herbs and cured it! it was really hard on us all when she opted to not do the western thing. but she is healthier today than she has been in years!
anyway, my prayers are with you and your poppa.

Stay positive is all I can say. Find the good in everything. I used to be a pessimist about everything and was always stressed out. Now positivity has been my saving grace. I went through a VERY stressful time (for a majority of last year and after about 4 months of tearing myself up on the inside, I decided "no more" and just started being positive about everything; whether it was the situation that was robbing me of sleep at night or things that were practically stress and worry free. Soon, my stress levels dropped and ever since, things have gone better for me. Even the "problem" that drug me under for a short while has solved itself.
Look, I'm not religious so I can't say that I'll pray for you, but I hope that everything will work out. It's hard, but stay positive and strong everything will be OK.

Hi Shellie,
Your family is in my thoughts. I went through something similar with my own father a few years back. I'm in LA as well - if there is anything you need, let me know.

Good luck to you , my wife's sister was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. It seems to be harder on the family than the victim in some cases.
