I don't need a bunch of people to say they feel sorry for me. But, I need as many people I can get to pray or do whatever they do for my step dad, who has a baseball sized tumor in his lung pressing against his heart.
I'm going to church today to light a candle after I get some work done. Please send lots of positive vibes his way. Our family needs it. Thanks guys!
I just found out after a nice trip to canada. I left my phone off and when I got back to LA, I heard the news. How crushing.
Bless & vaya con dios. Thanks guys.

Thanks sooooo much! Daddies are important.
Also, I've quit smoking. I think all of you should do. Pop hasn't had a cigarette in 25 years and he still got sick.
Quit -- especially if you have kids or think you ever will. Smoking is so selfish.

Bon, I dont know theyre doing a tests today. I'll make it down to home an hour away sometime today. From what I've been told they have to be very careful, and sometimes removing the tumor can make it worse and the canser can spread everywhere if it hasnt spread already.
he wont do kimo (sp). his first wife died that way. it extended her life 14 months and at the end -- she said he would have rather had 3 good months and gone on a road trip. instead kimo kept her in pain and she still died.
i'm still trying to keep positive that there is somthing that they will be able to do. It's all up in the air right now.

Good luck to you , my wife's sister was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. It seems to be harder on the family than the victim in some cases.

Hi Shellie,
Your family is in my thoughts. I went through something similar with my own father a few years back. I'm in LA as well - if there is anything you need, let me know.

Stay positive is all I can say. Find the good in everything. I used to be a pessimist about everything and was always stressed out. Now positivity has been my saving grace. I went through a VERY stressful time (for a majority of last year and after about 4 months of tearing myself up on the inside, I decided "no more" and just started being positive about everything; whether it was the situation that was robbing me of sleep at night or things that were practically stress and worry free. Soon, my stress levels dropped and ever since, things have gone better for me. Even the "problem" that drug me under for a short while has solved itself.
Look, I'm not religious so I can't say that I'll pray for you, but I hope that everything will work out. It's hard, but stay positive and strong everything will be OK.

wow, shellie. that is horrible news!
my mom had colon cancer - treated it with acupuncture and herbs and cured it! it was really hard on us all when she opted to not do the western thing. but she is healthier today than she has been in years!
anyway, my prayers are with you and your poppa.
