im with tfsmag on this one...
$400?? thats bananas. i don't rock labels...green faded cargos, worker timbs, and a inside out tee or one i made...fuck it, AND my wife is hot. it's more about attitude and confidence.not knockin peeps that do, i'd just rather spend loot elsewhere.

really though; it's just money.
who gives a shit? you'll make more.
if you can't afford it, don't bother. no one's trying to force you or anything.

whatever, my view still stands. if you don't care about how you look, i don't view you as an person.
and tfsmag, you missed my point. i'm not saying you should only buy expensive clothes. my favorite pair of jeans are a pair of Buffalo's I got for $29 on the discount rack at Macys. and i've never found a pair of levi's i liked. they're boring, and when levi's tries to make a good looking pair of paints, they try too hard to be trendy and they look like crap. and jpolk, you obviously don't know many artists or you'd understand what i'm saying. a friend of mine is a sculpture artist, and the way she dresses reflects on her style of sculpting. my style of design is clean with very good usage of colors (if i may say so myself) and nicely laid out. my style of clothign is simple, but the colors and textures all match, the lines and patterns all match or complement eachother, and, i even wear boxers and socks that match the color scheme. it's just that if it doesn't look good, or doesn't match up right, it will drive me crazy. just like if i design somethign that doesn't look right. it will drive me crazy.

sorry man, the vote is in.. you're silly

there's a lot of people besides me

agreed. paying 200 bones for some things that cover your legs ? ridiculous. and if that's what it takes to impress girls, or look "sharp" I would imagine that you might want to consider your principles and priorities. If girls are into that.. maybe you are into the wrong girls. Judging somebody on their clothes is shallow. plain and simple. brands like that are dupers, and you are buying right into it. The single figure dollars it costs them makes them scoff at the fact that people will shell out that much money to look "sharp". But, I guess personality insn't "in" right now.. CONSUME !

see dude, silly

You can even look clean and professional with some $50 eddie Bauer or Gap or Banana Republic slacks and a nice dress shirt if you're about looking good. But I think the monkey in silk quote really summed it up. Clothes aren't going to make you better looking or smarter or more charming.

or more artistic :/

... or anything.. besides 200$ poorer.

but, I mean, those faded streaks and holes in the knees must be totally worth like 80 bucks each.. right ? but when you wear them until they get like that.. so not cool.
- abstrakt0
alright well, the simple fact is, better looking people buy better clothes and care more about clothes. there i said it.
- fate0
Abstrakt, I'd disagree. I'd say those with the most to make up in the looks department over-compensate with material items.

ahaha.. wait.. I can't tell if you are serious or not.. if so. Insert foot into mouth ? it's more like the more insecure the person, the more they justify spending money on better "brands" although they are crafted in the same slave labor factories in mexico / india / china that all the others are made.

ah fate beat me to it.
