anaconda:
when jon voight explains to the crew about anacondas and he rolls out the huge anaconda shed skin and ice cube goes...'there snakes out there this big!?'

kezza reminded of one of my favourites:
Cinema Paradiso, when Salavatore watches decades of kissing scenes that were censored, now reunited in one footage by his late friend.
heartbreaking.

animal house when mothball walks up to the table of guys playing cards and goes 'you guys playin cards?'
pretty much that whole movie. bluto sees the guys drop the case of alcohol on the ground and shrieks, then gets handed a bottle of jack and chugs the whole thing then throws it over his shoulder. Or when they are building the float and bluto takes careful time to measure out the windshield only to smash it with a hammer. brilliant.

you must be a distant relative-you totally picked three of mine. How about the twenty minute fight scene in "They Live" when Rowdy Roddy keeps demanding the other guy to "put on the glasses!"
- Point50
1.) Lord of the Rings when Gandolf is facing off with that giant fire demon, and is getting drug down by the fire whip into the chasm and his last words with a very dramatic pause "Run, you fools..."
2.) Star Wars: A New Hope (#4?) where Obi Wan Kenobi looks at look then lets his guard down enabling Vader to strike him down.
3.) Office Space when the nerdy white guy character with the glasses is bumping the ghetto boys, but turns it down when he sees the black dude
4.) Conan the Barbarian: when boyhood Conan and several other kids are tied to that horse wheel thing, and through time lapse, Conan is the only one left alive and he's all yak'd out still pushing that horse wheel
5.) The first fight scene is Snatch when Brad Pitt destroys Gorgeous George and that 70's peace/love music starts playing
... and so many others. I don't even know if that is my top 5, just the one's that popped into my head at the moment...
- Point50
and Brazil, when the guy disappears in that windy attack of newspapers...
- DutchBoy0
right on, Point5, have to agree on Snatch there, quite a lot of priceless moments in that flick!

1. In black and White when Robert Downey Jr tells Mike Tyson he had a dream about him last night and you where holding me >> Mike Tyson grabs him and then launches into this rage about how they said he raped somebody and sent him to jail it's like he's not acting.
2. Jules and Vincent Vega doing that hit in Pulp Fiction >> classic line after classic line "What ain't no country I've ever heard of do they speak English in what"
3. When Luke feels the force and drops his proton torpedo into that little hole at the end of that trench.
4. In Karate kid when he gets his leg broken or something than he does that crane kick to win the tournament.
5. The scene in Players where they're playing EA Spots NHL Hockey.

In no particular order: (Well, Shawshank is my #1, but oh well)
1. "O Brother Where Art Thou" - the Siren scene. "They done turned Pete into a h-h-ho-horny toad."
2. "Shawshank," the last 20 or so minutes from when Red gets out and on. I cry everytime. I start getting the lump in my throat when Red find the box under the oak tree, and reads the letter from Andy. I can watch that movie 100 times over.
3. "Office Space," when Drew is doing his "oh" face. Also, Peter's dream of Lumberg screwing Joanna.
4. "True Romance," scene with Walken and Hopper. Hopper knows he is toast, and he is the air of smoothness as he is giving his history lesson. Also, when Clarence is patching up Alabama on the car seat by the airport. Great dialog.
5. "Once Were Warriors," Beth's slave speach to Jake in the kitchen before he puts his fist through the wall 1 inch from her head. That has got to be one of the most intense movies I have ever seen.
6. "Pulp Fiction," The look on Vincent's face as he opens the door to find Butch standing there with the uzi pointed at him. Classic.
7. "Taxi Driver" when DeNiro is talking to the Secret Service guy aboutjoining the SS.
8. "Fight Club" when Narrator beats himself up in front of his boss, and then crawls up to him and grabs his hands, grinning, and then sobbing when the guards walk in. Closing the scene out, walking down the office hallway, bloodied to shit with a shopping cart full of office supplies, whistling.
9. "Raising Arizona" the whole scene when H.I. goes in to get the diapers, and ends up robbing the place. "Son, you've got a panty on your head" "Drive"
10. "Magnolia" Every scene with Jason Robards and Phillip Seymore Hoffman. They were wonderful on screen together. John C. Riley's entire performace. Just wonderful. Another favorite all-timer movie.
And the list goes on.........

kezza-
I totally forgot about Life is Beautiful. I can't watch that movie and not cry. I love the scene when Bernigni is courting his love, starting in the movie theatre, to when the crash the car, and he "predicts" the hat, the key, etc. Perfect movie.
- kezza_20
That film is what cinema was invented for.
Did you know also that there are a couple of films that phycolgists (?spelling) prescribe for depression. It's a wonderful life is one and life is beautiful is another

Band of Brother: when the crazy captain runs throught the town they have been trying to penetrate for months in the snow and goes off on a mad one

Casino: When Belushi and his brother are getting beaten to a pulp with baseball bats in the corn feild. Pure raw.
Casino: Any of the parts where Deniro and stone are fighting. So believable. You could imagine them shouting abuse at eachother before the cameras rolls trying to wind each other up
