if simple is what you're after, then you hit the nail on the ehad!
- rasko40
type for the address is still way too big, not sure about the definition between the two reds.
raas appears too close to the edge on the bottom one. the icons in red make the text block look staggered. why is one set of lines white and the other one red? Not sure about the black on red.
Why not keep it simple and just use the red and white? and make those lines finer.

yup lookign for simple and clean
client said "less is more" is the philosopphy of the retail store. theya re opening.
its for home furnishing.
- GRNsketch0
it's very clean with a classic euro feel. What did the client give to work with?
- zedvox0
rasko thats wht i had before...thinner line and red and white....they wanted a shade of darker red..as well.
hmm thanks for the type adjusments.. i will play with it and make it thinner and smaller... and hey thanks rasko for all the feedback so far :)
- rasko40
no probs dude :)

i agree the biz crd frnt RAAS is too close to the edges.

GRN
they gave me the name and the look they wanted... which was clean, simple, contemp and the whole less is more philosophy.
- GRNsketch0
job well done then.

Thanks GRN :)
the only thing with simple clean stuff is the tweaking hehe
i am pretty happy with it.. but you and rasko have valid points.
i shall develop this further and send it your guys way :)

1000% imo. you're choking raas too much on the biz card front. give it some space. the slanted line and name on the biz card front really kills the balance. i understand why you have that line (since it's used in the logo) but either use the same angle / colour or don't. the spacing of raas could be more. quite choked. type on the back needs attention. a bit chaotic, unbalanced. as well as too much space between the lines. logo is nice. maybe would pick a heavier helvetica neue since it loses it's power when it gets smaller. not feeling the slanted tagline. like the red/black/white feel.

oh i had another question i was also thinking of devleoping differen colour options for the same design to correspond with different stuff they carry.
good or bad?or should i keep it just red??
i was thinking bright colors, grren, yellow , blue.....stuff like that.
- rabattski0
good.
- Gorbie0
go figure india would be outsourcing work to the US!
;^)
it's nice. the logo looks better the smaller it is.. probably because the type is so simple (for lack of a better word.)
i think the logo type looks better in white (or knocked out of the box color.) I would also use the thin weight throughout.
- zedvox0
thanks rabbatski
lol @ gorbie.
yeah outcourcing is fun eh ?thanks guys for your suggestions.the biz card i know has a lot of issues.i might just drop the whole vertical things and go the traditional horizontal route on the biz card.
and gorbie the big logo is mainly for signage.thanks guys :)

I would ditch the whole rounded edges thing. I mean, simple means text, right?
raas is a nice treatment. I would bring some interesting color and kerning to make th eletters stand out on their own.
I think locking it up in the box makes it seem heavy and less clean. The text alone would be cool. My 2 cents.
- zedvox0
hmmm thanks soler.
i'll play around with your suggestion.
i like the red and stripes though...but lets see..its all about play anyways :)thanks a bunch
- MIJA0
I agree with a lot of the comments that have already been made.
I like the type treatment but I would avoid using it so close to the edge. the R especially gets lost and it weakens the impact of the name.
I would also go with a different color in place of the darker red on red. this also gets lost and is very hard to read.
the content type on the back of the biz card is too large. the logo has a very thin delicate feel but the typography ends up looking clunky against the logo.
These are all minor tweakings. the style and logo look good thoght. nice work.
- Soler0
The red and stripes look like a treatment, not a "logo".
Think about DKNY, Crate & Barrell, IKEA, etc. None of them use anything but type. The treatment can always be added and changes.
To cnfine them to rounded edges and stripes is limiting in my opinion.
good work man.
- zedvox0
thanks mija! as i said its the minor details....and sometimes having other designer eyes is all you need to see better :)
thanksaah i see what you mean now soler!
oh that makes sense yeah i worked on raas first and then thought of the imagery
i'll tweak it further .
thanks man!!
:)
