fuck hope I made myself clear. I was saying not for, but at!
at what resolution do u do your designs, I think I have more dominance qwhen I design at 1024X768, and 1280x1024 gives me creeps.what about you ?
not talking about audience here...

We're told by some we should have a variable width design..but we are to some extent emulating a print magazine and want control over layout, so we are fixed 710 width, but planning to move to 750 or so when we do our CMS. We might allow users to choose a range of page widths content modules and content placement (where on their screen) in a future CMS .

My res is set to 1024X768, I don't want to run it to high because then whern you see it on lower resolution it looks all wacked out. I did a form for a web app a while back and a co-worker had a question about it. I went to her computer and her res is set at 800x600 and it looked like shit, it was so huge.

i'm running two screens. One is 1024x768 and the other 1600x1200... the low res I use for doing web designs and the higher for print....
At my office we still have to design websites to support 800x600. I just refuse to have my monitor set that low

Anyone running 800x600 is used to everything looking bad anyway :)
I certainly wouldn't optimize a site principally to that (dying) user group...
