mr dobolina, nah, i was after him i think, he's been doing free tibet for ages now i think.
i'm not into it as a relgion man, more a way of seeing life and people around me, but sometimes it's hard not to call someone a cunt or wanker, cos they make you angry, and the sooner the anger's gone, to sooner you can get on with normal calm life, blah blah

But what i hate is the way many people go on about ow Jihad comes first and foremost to Muslims. That's never been my experience. And when they tlak about its Muslims duty to kill all non-Muslims. Thats also bollocks. It is a hardcore book, that does to talk about if your enemy attacks ur relgion u shud kill them. It's fucked up, but its always couched in a defensive language - a reaction against ur enemies. Now what the text "attacks ur faith" mean.. is open to interpretation. It cud mean a military action against muslims, or it cud simply mean putting up an offensive webstie. Its open to interpretation by different groups and many do interpret it to their own political ends.
Also, the book was written in Arabic as one long poem, in a dialect that is not spoken anymore. Its almost impossible to interpret it into english. I've seen some shocking translation that translate the texts in wildly different ways.

[5.51] O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.
[5.64] And the Jews say: The hand of Allah is tied up! Their hands shall be shackled and they shall be cursed for what they say. Nay, both His hands are spread out, He expends as He pleases; and what has been revealed to you from your Lord will certainly make many of them increase in inordinacy and unbelief; and We have put enmity and hatred among them till the day of resurrection; whenever they kindle a fire for war Allah puts it out, and they strive to make mischief in the land; and Allah does not love the mischief-makers.
[5.69] Surely those who believe and those who are Jews and the Sabians and the Christians whoever believes in Allah and the last day and does good-- they shall have no fear nor shall they grieve.
[5.82] Certainly you will find the most violent of people in enmity for those who believe (to be) the Jews and those who are polytheists, and you will certainly find the nearest in friendship to those who believe (to be) those who say: We are Christians; this is because there are priests and monks among them and because they do not behave proudly.

"Those who believe (in the Qur·ān), those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Sabians, Christians, Magians, and Polytheists,- God will judge between them on the Day of Judgment: for God is witness of all things."
788. For Sabians, see n. 76 to ii. 62. They are also referred to in v. 72. In both those passages the Muslims are mentioned with the Jews, Christians, and Sabians, as receiving Allah's protection and mercy. Here, besides the four religions, there is further mention of Magians and Polytheists: it is not said that they would receive Allah's Mercy, but only that Allah will judge between the various forms of faith.
In other words, the final judgement on all these people is with Allah.

Yeah I know Kona,
It's not really up for debate it's quite prominantly featured as a tenant of faith. Christians do the same thing, they pretend not to know thier own statements of faith. What they claim is the actual word of thier beloved God.

I cud also list more stuff.. it's all over the place:
"62. Those who believe (in the Qur·ān), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve."
