need help finding a driver for pc

i bought this external enclosure:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewPr…the problem is that i can't format the damn thing on my pc windows xp. it goes through the whole format process and then at the very end it says "windows cannot format this drive" what the fuck? then i can't even see the drive at all.
i brought it to work and formatted it on my mac in dos form and it works fine. will i have any problems in the future formatting it like this? it will be used primarilly for PC. any advice you can give me please? pretty please.
