I love single malt scotches, but often find that by the end of the bottle they start to taste cloyingly rich. I particularly like the wacky, peaty, elemnatry-school-white-paste-tas... ones like laphroig.
I also like jameson's irish whiskey, which seems a little dryer or something

Drink everything with Glen in the name.

yum
dalwhinnie
balvenie
mc allen 20 year

love the laphroig, if you like the peaty stuff you should try the 16yr lagavulin, its very fun.
i started out on irish but moved to scotch a year or two ago. i find it much more flavorful and of course goes well with tobbacco.
what do you like to eat while sipping?
- Rand0
believe it or not, I think scotch goes well with sushi and sashimi
- spindle0
the 21yr balvenie might be my favorite.
and i am sipping on the 15yr cask strength now.
i've never had the 20yr mcallen, is it worth getting a bottle?
- spindle0
sushi? really. i will try it.
had some amazing sushi last week, best i've had at morimoto's. had a hazulenut brown ale with it that was amazing.
