why is milky thing on the roof.?

it's probably a goat actually, they milk them and eat them a lot. Yum, goat meat is excellent if cooked right. Quite popular in the developing world.

i''m 100% egyptian, born in the US. i've been there about 12 times - lots of family there.
i currently live in nyc. i feel far safer in any part of egypt than i do in new york - no question. people don't have guns in egypt. no one is going to shoot you. i promise.
it is very safe. tourist or not.
just don't drink the water or talk about israel (check your history books).
learn about the beginning of civilization. it's amazing.
i would reccomend a nile cruise. luxor and aswan down south. then giza and cairo in the north.
for the some of the nicest scuba diving on earth, vists sharm el-sheikh (red sea). alexandria is also very nice - check out the new library there.

oh...and never pay full price.

leave your macs behind and see how the rest of the world lives.

yeah dessalles, Egypt is really beautiful, was living in Ezbet En Nakhl

its just sad that people (americans specifically) have an image of the middle east in their heads and then associate that image with middle eastern courties totally independent of each other.
when was the last time you heard of any sort violent activity coming out of egypt specifically? not for a long time.
iraq is not the same as palestine is not the sam as saudi arabia is not the same as egypt is not....you get it.
every night, i watch the news and ten more people have been murdered in nyc. egypt doesn't keep statistics on murder rates, because none every take place.

yes go! it's one of the best trips i've ever done!

- dessalles0

my foster sister is from cairo. she lived there til she was 16. ive always wanted to go there with her, but have not had the chance.
so many places to see.
idea: start an NT exchange program.
one of you should come and stay with me for a week in my house on your vacation. see whats goin on. then i go to your place for a week and see whats up in your area. then we fight to the death with knives.

ha hahaa Bio!!
dessalles, I was just joking you man. I know they use it for milk, but I can't get the goat slaughtering memories out of my head. I had some really good food while there in Zamalek. Some nice joints next to the Hilton.
