37°C today yuck plus super humidity.. walked a block to only feel like i was walking thru an ocean.. everyone is sweating madly.. yucky..
going to workout today, cut my hair... and relax.. the bed in this hotel is so hard, it feels like you are sleeping on concrete.. so strange for such a luxury style hotel..
the room is nice, im on the 20th floor and have a great city view.. oi i miss NYC.. at least this city is civilized.. versus the small city i am normally working in where its just complete chaos.

about 2 hours ago i left my merchandizer from dinner and went back to the hotel.. went to the bar and had a triple shot whiskey .. come time to sign the bill i write it to the room.. seems the company that invited me here wont allow me to sign to the room.. i called my company and told them to drop their account as i will be paying for the room and everything else.. the fuckers just lost a 10 million dollar deal.. all because i couldnt sign the drinks to me room that they said they would pay for.. oi

i just received a phone call from the factory owner who invited me to his 15th year anniversary party. he wanted to say that there was a big misunderstanding between himself and hotel over the room charges and all drinks myself and anyone else he had invited out to join him and his company in their celebration. he also wanted me to know that since he and i have had a very strong working relationship, that even if the company i am with doesnt do business with him, that he wanted to keep our friendship and bond a strong one. he said i was one of his best friends over the last 6 years who always gave him great bonds with other design companies and that he respects my design vision and said i am always welcome to join his company as a consultant or any other type of design. he also said he had the hotel reimburse me fully on anything i may have spent as per the room charges, the food and drinks.
now this comes as good news to my pocket, but my companies policy on accepting gift from vendors or factories is not welcome..
i kept trying to explain to my company that i was being invited as per my previous relationship with the owner and his factory, and it wasnt an invite to me being from the company as we never fully signed a deal to do any business as it was.
oi.. i dont know what is going to happen.. i know my company will be annoyed, but i did put my foot down with the hotel, and i did pay for it.. at least they know i pushed their policy in their best interest, and had an argument with one of my friends and business relationships which ended in a stronger bond.. but i dont know what they will fully think if i tell them i they insisted in paying regardless of me paying.. oi

So... you went out for dinner and drinks despite the fact your employer has a rule against taking gifts, then called them to tell them to drop their account as you would be paying for the room and everything else because the other company wouldn't pay for your drinks?
Fucks sake. If someone brought me out to dinner and drinks and paid for it, I'd be thanking them, not exploding my top because they wouldn't buy me more when I got home.
As my missus would say epill, you're a strange biscuit.

went in for a tooth cleaning with no problems... left $500 poorer. bitch stabs me in the gums until i bleed, then goes, "oh, that hurts, doesn't it? see, you're bleeding" then makes up some shit about having an infection and how it's my fault for not flossing 8 hours a day then proceeds to squirt some goo on my teeth then assrapes my wallet.
they're fucking worse than mechanics

Have only just found out that Matt Damon played a guy who I used to know (Ben) in the movie We bought a Zoo. Katherine, his wife, was one of my first art directors. Sadly, she past away once they bought the zoo. Matt Damon...?! Katherine would not be pleased!

i finally asked john krikfalusi what the deal was with those awful ren and stimpy cartoons, something which had been bothering me for a while.
Q: "i'm a huge fan of ren & stimpy, but the most recent episodes, the ones done for spike tv, were uh... different. how closely involved were you with these episodes, and how do you feel about them?
do you feel like you got to take the series and characters to a more adult, crude place because you were free of normal restraints and you always wanted to do that, or do you feel like they went to a more adult, crude place because spike tv wanted them to?"
A: "They (Spike) actually asked me to "adult up" the cartoons because they wanted to go for an older audience. I really wanted to continue just doing what we did the first time around.
I think it was because shows like South Park and Family Guy were so much more "edgy" than the original Ren and Stimpy that they figured we need to up the gross out level.
If I were to do it again I would be less vulgar and concentrate more on the personality gags."
