2Advanced does some pretty stuff, unfortunately they struggle with bad IA, bloated files that take forever to preload (and looking at the target market, the bubbas who own pickups are most likey of the dial-up nature and probably don't have patience for bells n whistles) and, when left to design a stand alone site without 3D/Chrome/Flash its a bit anti-climatic... I'd say with all those involved, video, design, etc, the site probably cost upward in the neighborhood of 750k (USD).
Still not a bad considering the market right now...

That's what they told me but don't you think that is a sarcastic way of saying "Don't ask me questions that will only help you compete against us."? I'm assuming it is. Three people doing all of that in a month, WITH all the 3d?? Yeah, they are very competent, but I don't think anyone's that good.

thanks Blueman. NPFC is a collective of musicians that i am a part of. we've been recording music together since '97. i also did the site. flash video is fun as hell!
during the day i'm the Multimedia Director at J. Walter Thompson in Detroit.

Mnty,
JWT subcontracts Rare Medium?
- mnty0
hahaa, Rare Medium, in the market for a new air-conditioner? Seriously now, it's great to work for someone who actually has clients.
- Mimio0
Yeah, it's all defunct. Most of the larger Ann Arbor firms have reshuffled too.

if we were building that I recon about 120k (pounds)
thats just for the design and build. assuming that they supplied all the film footage.
If we did the film work, storyboarding and script writing and post production, then add another 100k I recon
- Blofeldt0
a million billion pounds
- jevad0
fuck me!
it's all bells and whistles and space-like but fucking ace!!
- jevad0
did 2advanced do it?
- Bluejam0
"did 2advanced do it?"
I heard yes.
- CyBrainX0
Here's what they had to say at the studio who did the work:
"1. We had 3 people on the project at it's peak.
2. We did the 3D animations.
3. We had 30 days to produce the entire site, which is about typical of a
high-end timeline."Somehow, I get the feeling he's being sarcastic.

Wow, 2A is more efficient than I would have guessed. Good for them. Auto clients are tough.
- geeque0
http://www.2advanced.com/flashin… did it for sure. In their news section and portfolio.
- jevad0
please can we not have another 2advanced thread ok?
It's a nice site. Let's dicuss it - not flame the makers...
- Mimio0
There's a whole case study on Macromedia's website.
- geeque0
got a link to the case study?
- Blofeldt0
It still takes ages to load on a t1! It's pretty neat and suits the truck. I think the 2 Advanced style works well on this. Did get a bit bored waiting for the next (short) clip
- jevad0
where?
