bleed? yeah.
i'm probably gonna cut them myself or this little printing place here in miami.....they do lazer prints for $1 per 12x18 $2 for double sided.
and they will cute and bind the books for me for $5-8 each.
so the books are about 28 pages total. 12 spreads 1 opening spread and 1 resume spread
at $2 per side thats $14 for printing and say $8 for binding. $22 per book. i'll print about 15 or so.
not bad.

are the pages going to bleed? if so, where are you going to get your short run printed at and how much does it cost?

I've redesigned the description page .....so all the description pages would look like this.

Rementera:
thanks for the comments, although I must disagree with you. Its a minibook selling ME.
I'd think someone reading it would want to know something about me.
Glad I'm not showing you my book....

the type is indecisive. make sure you spell things correct, and nobody really cares about your 'passion'

good good good. I like.
but,
I don't like to read design theories. Just me. Show me, don't preach to me. Less text.".. my designs are cool" ? AND I think they are. But don't tell me. Sounds too much like "I'm still in school".
keep up the good work.

"andif the printer cant do the cards right, i'm gonna body slam the fucker off the roof...."
be prepared to slam...

as for the typog, I think its one way or the other - either bunch it roght up so thewre is no space inbetween or give it some space - I'd prefer the latter which wil probably affect whether you choose to use all caps or not, I know the loook you're after but sometimes it just wont work with body copy that you actually need people to read.
The other thing is just back to copy, I guess you haven't looked at this and its just dummy copy but definately get the right tone and dont have typos.
Should be a good result though, it has definate promise!

rasko i know about the typos....i was justtyping fast.....and just put in whatever until i finish writing the content and SPELL CHECKING the fucker.
this was just a quickie comp.

- piperboytoy0
you'll do fine! I love orange!

guys thank you SO much. i just wasnt sure how my style of design would match up in the real world. or if i was good enough
i'll work hard on the type. really hard. i want to to be really good.
on the description page, i was thinking to make the info part smaller.
for the second page i wanted to keep the type large and "smushed" together, kinda staying with the whole feel of it.
maybe its not a good idea.
keep the comments comin....

testpilot... lol... great minds think alike...

hey nice biz cards! really like them. probably better than your mini book layout.
you need to spend more time with the type treatment of your book. I think you can shrink the font size and use the space better. Right now it's smack in the center, and it doesn't make it interesting to look at. Your other layout has some use of negative space.
Otherwise your work is pretty solid. Good luck on your job search.!

damn looks good.. i think i am gonna rip it

Hopefully this won't sound too harsh...
The typography is all over the place... If you have more than a paragraph of copy to read, I'd recommend losing the all-caps minimal leading layout. It can be stylish if it's just a bit of type, but trying to read a few lines of it is just annoying.
Maybe try contrasting the bold ko all-cap type with something a bit more subtle... it would also help to visually differentiate between different elements.
About the business card: from the small image of it, I think the design is lovely...
BUT... good luck getting a printer to hold your 1 pt red bleed... it just won't happen. tolerances look a bit too tight (maybe you're gonna trim them by hand?)
also... your copy is really bad... it doesn't make you sound like a professional at all (spell check it, too).
anyway... hopefully this helps
