Can anyone recommend a good content management system for an online magazine... (preferably UK based) Can be bespoke PHP/MySQL stuff...could be all pre-built all-in-one licenced system... just needs to be able to handle news production and archiving, multiple authors, advanced image gallery handling, online design portfolios, directories, employment listings , search, email campaigns, advanced user preferences, etc...
are we at £20000 yet?

more info...
Currently we're using a single author, GoLive, lots of Image Ready batch actions, and iView Media Pro for image processing and gallery generation, working on a live site content of 3.5GB (thousands of pages and images)
I think we've taken that process as far as it will go...

Hello. I recommend TYPO3. It's a very powerful and diverse Content Management System which can handle all the things you listed. It has a high learning curve but there are tutorials provided on TYPO3.org. There's an excellent community for this web software and many experienced developers who can help integrate the system. The best part? It's FREE! Knowledgeable TYPO3 experts can make money from integrating the software to save companies big dollars in the long run. Check it out at www.typo3.com. Kasper is the man! You'll understand why I say that if you check out this product. :) Make sure you tell him who sent you. haha

Another free content management system is PostNuke. It's PHP/SQL based and has a HUGE open source/mod community as well:
Highly recommended.
