It will problably be Maputo, Moçambique... I will actually be helping my father opening an office down there (they already have one in Luanda). But I've hearing great things of Angola, the economy is getting stronger. They're getting the firsts ATM machines this month...
And you? South Africa? US of A?

well quamb, I believe I did compare tribe to the beatles, which was for much of their career a bubble-gum pop group. and I'll go as far to say the MTV stuff ain't half bad. Things were worse three, four years ago, thank the lord for the Neptunes. anyway...
prom, you too have a right to your stupid and ignorant opinions too. Tell me how Common, Bahamadia, DJ Shadow, Automator, Prince Paul, Del & Heiroglyphics, Aceyalone & the Freestyle Fellowship, Lyrics Born, Lateef, Blackalicious, Peanut Butter Wolf, Organized Konfusion, KRS-ONE, Planet Asia, Zion I, Atmosphere, Sage Francis, Sole, El-P & Company Flow, Aesop Rock, J-Live, etc. are less about music and more on image.
And stop playing amateur psycologist. 50 cent did not become what he is today because of the suburbs.

as the ignorance on NT continues
Im just wondering do any of you super critical people ever do any work? Not only do you guys waste all you time hating on things, but you dont even know what your talking about, and Im not gonna waste my time explaining I have work to do

jaz- not sure what your saying. are you drunk?
hip hop is not as easy as learning how to use samples and beatboxes.
this mentality sucks- just like 'design aint hard, just need to click a few buttons on the computer'
sure it is easy to pump out a nice beat and catchy LOOP (its almost like childplay these days with software)- though too construct a song and keep the listener digging the track after x listens takes skill & a musical ear.

I stand by my words, musically it's horrible, can you say midi, ten times fast?

wow man if your looking for a worker, contractor to help you guys with an Angolan fiance, let me know. She lives in Namibia, but was born in Angola, yeah since Savimbi died Dos Santos has been turning that place into goldmine, it's a fucking bloody resource rich country man! Moçambique on the other hand has like one ISP. Hee, hee, but the Indian Ocean there is lovely! make sure you get some Peri-Peri on your broiled pollo.
I am in bloody Pittsburgh, PA messing around, but want to return to Cape Town, ask StyleJunkie he knows that place! ;)

PS, I never claimed to be the Almighty in reference to sound, I just try to help people, it's just my opinion and I'm allowed to have one the last time I checked. ;)

firreal quamb. For people like jaz to poopoo all hip hop is just plain silly! There's bound to be crap in ALL genres - that isn't to dictate that the entire genre is a crock of shit.
- unfittoprint0
'one ISP'?. shit......... ;-)
Anyway, I'm only going as an 'attachment', since my father's field (transportation) has nothing to do with professional objectives. An opportunity to finally know the continent, so to speak. I know some design people that are returning/opening offices in there though...

you've just named some of my favourite artists , the 5% real Hip Hop that i talked about before.
while your assertion is correct that good, underground Hip Hop cares less about image than the commercial hip POP bullshit, I still don't listen to it because of the musical quality.
I listen and love the aforementioned artists because of their rhymes and their message and their creativity and their beats and the overall mental stimulation I get from listening to them.
and 50 cent wouldn't be anywhere today if he wasn't introduced to the suburban masses by eminem.

i'm with kpl.
Nothing sums up jaz's comments better.
