MSCHMIDT quotes:
2Advanced Studios and Bacardi DJ present: Never Rain - according to the website it's an event to celebrate the unveiling of the new & 4th version of the 2Advanced website, "that strives to be a destination that will stimulate inner emotions and awake visitors to the possibilities of the future."
Ehmm ... I realize that I'll probably get into trouble for this, but, come on, we're talking about a website here. I'm sure that it'll be a most lovely browsing experience once it's finally launched (I've always had a tonne of respect for the 2Advanced crew), but claiming that it'll be a "momentous experience forever ingrained into the memories of our creative peers, enthusiastic fans and supportive friends" might be stretching it a little.
Kinda reminds me of the time when everybody suddenly started called themselves "digital artists" - I thought that was a bit silly too.
So please ... take a deep breath and repeat after me: I am a webdesigner.
Hehe

Mschmidt is my hero.

"I'm a web designer..." pshaw. I'm not calling myself *that*. I have more self-respect than that.

natural, not boxy--I figured something of the like. Just find it a bit difficult to forget that I'm viewing a site in a box basically.
I'd like a no right angle browser window, able to be shaped like clay into a form of my choosing.

oh no, the pink 2A thread was deleted. cy, you have killed four of my posts/babies in under 24 hours ;) how can you sleep at night?
oh, yeah, forgot, you don't....

"that strives to be a destination that will stimulate inner emotions and awake visitors to the possibilities of the future."
aaaargh, try harder!
gee, it 's just a WEBSITE for the sake off all goodness in this world that's losing it.
One advice to the one who made that text up:
GET OUTSIDE MORE!
(sorry, but that just did it!)
- kpl0
actually, if you want to hallucinate less, you stay indoors. southern cali, remember...

buncha haters!
2A are hustlers & I can respect hard work.
I love how everyone has something lame to say about that camp like a buncha jealous school girls.
if you want something to go away just ignore it like the work we're supposed to be doing.
- 4cY0
oh hahahaha, i forgot, it's the smog!! haha, thx for reminding, 'sis'.
hehehe.
- monokrom0
fatoe sums it up pretty well.
I'm not a big fan of 2a or ej, but all of this jealousy and bitterness is ridiculous.

"stimulate inner emotions"
-isn't a pretty common goal for art? or is web design no longer considered art?"and awake visitors to the possibilities of the future."
-it seems like they've been pretty successful in doing that with their past work... why doubt they'll do it now?i'll admit, some of the marketing hype is a little over the top, but when is marketing hype not over the top?
(no, i don't work for them)
- 4cY0
i am not jealous, please read more careful, bunch o' 'hmm nevermind'..
it's just the ridiculous Californian kinda 'ultra-this-is-another-multigazi... kinda hype talk.
all i say is, 2A needs better copywriters. Well, sober copywriters that is.

not sure if you all have read this, here's mschmidt's response.

jsut seems weird to me. all this about some websites? why dont you just call it a party and forget about the web thing all together. i just dont get it thats all.
is this like a record release party but for websites?
- 4cY0
shellie, yes i think so.
you should have told them at Sony.. a new competition is coming to get them. ;)
but i'd love conferences and stuff, but to rent a theatre for a party about a website is even a bit to geeky-ish for me! ;)
- ok_static0
jealous? you got it wrong....it's all about hype.
