    @mal
    it'll be hard the first couple of times. they'll learn to relax. it's kind of a two person effort though. i have to hold her (legs mostly) and my boyfriend washes her.

    but my cats are declawed. so i dont have to worry about front claws.

    you can also try putting a towel draped over your shoulder and front and hold themagainst your stomach. so if they scratch they dont get direct skin contact.

    if you have a glass or sliding door to your shower and a removable shower head thing that helps. cos then you dont have to hold them you can just kinda let them down on the shower floor and shoot.

    I used to wash my cat emma by myself though. he was used to it as a kitten and didnt put up much of a fight. he actually cried when i took him out of the water.

    if you cant do that, you can get baby whipes made for cats at the pet store.. give em a good butt whipe and keep the paws clean.. so they dont spread sickness around the house.

    im weird

    @mal. its not so bad. its actually a good habbit to start with your cats. showers once a week or two.. or even once a month. theyre very clean animals but still... they walk around in circles in a sand box willed with piss and poo and then they wanna play patty cake on your face. but mostly i do it cos thats the only way i can live withthem. im allergic to cat dander.
