i think cnn think we are all dumbs and ignorant.
seriously i just watch cnn 30 minutes and now my brain think that a war will begin soon and its normal because we need it.
cnn have made a voxpop in the street of turkey, kuweit, israel, egypt etc. and people were all saying that they love americans and that the war is needed, only 3 peoples said that the americans think only for theirselves and that the war is stupid (ooooohhhh, tell me that cnn is not filtring the message)
what about the millions of people that walk yesterday for the peace ?? cnn dont talk about that.and what about oussama bin laden ?? i think its all fake stuff made by US government. Its crazy how Mr. Bin Laden help Bush when its the good time...
look : another message from Bin Laden : http://www2.canoe.com/infos/lemo…I hate CNN, I hate US government, I hate war.

Ha - US gov propoganda on CNN - ra yight ! that's a good one.
Next thing you're going to tell me is there's pornography on the Internet or that there are really stupid people in this world.

I hate hate.

Incredible. Millions of people protest peacefully around the globe and what's the picture they how representing all the demonstrations?
A riot / tear gas in Athens!
christ.
- mbr0
They had a whole thing on the peace marches yesterday.
Yes, I hate hate.
- tusadre0
a lot of people have marched but it may not be the majority of the world. for the most part it would seem that people here at nt feel the same about the war as the protests but it still may not be the majority of feelings.
- unfittoprint0
i doubt it.
- tusadre0
I don't. I wish it weren't true but it could very well be. Think about it. Even if a million protestors showed up for each country doesn't mean the majority and only a couple of hundred thousand showed up to represent each country. It really is not that many.

I'm worried about all the people who voice a simple 'pro-war' or 'anti-war' opinion without being properly informed on all the facts, not bothering to read about all of the pros and cons... or even being clear about what they mean by 'war'...
Don't forget there ARE reasonable-sounding arguments for military action, (although I'm not sure if they stand up when balanced against all the other arguments against...)
I'm not saying what my opinion is yet... (still reading!)...hopefully Hans Blix won't ask me for my decision just yet :)
- tusadre0
i agrees

There were more protesters in London in the 15th than after the end of WWII. More in Madrid that at death of Franco's General Carrero Blanco. More in Lisbon than in the annual revolution celebration. More in Rome than in other demonstration of that countrie's history. Oops. These are all countries whose governments were simpathetic with US view...
The former fascist government in my country and Spain used to have a term: 'silent majority' to justify their means. It didn't meant shit.
But i guess one has to right to have its beliefs. Even fantasies.
'they got the guns. we got the numbers'.
- tusadre0
I am not saying that there were not large numbers. I wish I was one of them. I am just sayings that it still does not mean the majority feels this way. this is all.
- ribit0
hmmm... you can be generally anti-war but still agree with the UN when it says that military action is needed to disarm Iraq... can't you?
- unfittoprint0
i'm no pacifist. But this obsession with Iraq seems strange to say the least. Why not North Korea's Kim-Jong? That dictatorship makes Saddam's one look like a kindergarten! They got nukes. They're willing to use it.
And Pakistan. Wich is now a 'friend'. Or Saudi Arabia wich produced 17/19 of the WTC hijackers. Or Israel that has been ignoring UN resolutions for ages. Sudan. I don't see any embargo on China? Oops, i see on Cuba... producing wonderful results.
Wich 'Evil' is good 'Evil'?

not to mention solving poverty, world ecology, and AIDS...

US media IS propaganda. It's a natural filtration process. money buys a voice. more money equals a more powerful voice. the overwhelming majority of media people are exposed to is that which is supported by big money.
would big money EVER support a general viewpoint that does not support the ideals of big money?
this is not something that happened when bush took office either. it's been evolving for decades...
- ribit0
but you are talking about TV/print right? What about the web? lots of opportunities there...
- unknown0
the web has presented an interesting situation. the playing field is more even. this is a problem. what does big money do to keep a guy like me misinformed? I scour all types of different websites. you find inconsistencies in all media reporting. it's wild. you start to realize this is a propaganda system and themajority f people don't even realize it.
in fact they get hostile when you try to point it out. it's hard for people to imagine that they are being lied to.
- ribit0
lib... I don't understand your last post... you say the playing field is more even, but somehow still controlled by someone... and inconsistent... and hmmm..I don't really know what you mean...
- tusadre0
lib it sounds slightly convenient to point the finger at the US media like that and also too easy. I love the americas and the people but i do not love their government right now. but this does not entitle me to make accusations like that since my media is no different and reports the same information.
