most young Reps voted last time, most young Dems didn't one reason Bushie won
- Ctrl_Z0
show of hands who voted (without being a lier) I did.
who cares if he's on SLN for self promo, arnt all the actors/singers/etc? he's cool enough to make an effort for the younger crowd, Bush would turn up his nose to that shit. Gores been on MTV asnwering question related to youth topics, freestyle...no bullshit pause for political advisors to plug the answers into him. he even got a Mos Def album from some hiphop cat, and graciously accepted it. (I bet Tipper threw that shit out lol) but he's working for the vote of the PEOPLE not chasing the $.
and stop twisting the shit, he never said he invented the internet, he said that under his admin they made an economy fertile for the internet/dotcoms/hightech industries to florish. you see that happening under Bush? anyone with stocks in Nasdaq? it's a fucking joke. everytime I hear the news, water cooler talk, and read the events...I'm like fuck Gore should have won. plain and simple, he would make a better leader. and for those nay-sayers nah the dot com fizzle would have came anyway, and blah blah blah...who dumped our cash reserves to gain a bullshit vote, and benefit only the highest of the upper class? but those checks were supposed to but the money back in the pockets of comsumers and spurt a growth in the economy. (nice move jackass) and look now we are in the red. but that doesnt mean shit, because we will be buying war soon on credit.
Bush = 9-5pm pres with 3 braincells rattling in his little head.
makes me crazy to find out, that a Bush toy is one of the highest selling toys of the 2002 Xmas season. we truely are a country full of mindless beasts.

actually, gore said he was the one who wrote the legislation to fund the development of arpanet, which later evolved into the Internet, thusly responsible for its creation. ergo, he invented it.
kind of a stretch still.
But man, he does a great trent lott impression.

gore is good.
i don't really want him to run against kerry, because I like them both. i wouldn't know which one to pick. Gore's policies are more to my liking. On the other hand, I don't know Kerry. I like his wanting to invade Iraq for humanitarian reasons, not for selfish gains like the Republicans do.

and oh yea, the show was really funny. The first half at least. I fell asleep. I was really tired.

On Topic: The show was funny and Gore did a good job not being Gore.
Off Topic: I get slightly irritated when I hear the "tax cuts for the rich" line. If I make over 240K then that makes me evil and rich? That argument is baseless and used as scare tactics. According to the IRS the top 10% (those who make over 250k) pay close to 50% of all the taxes in America. So why should they NOT get a tax break? This isnt Socialism here.
I feel better now. Carry on.
- kpl0
the rich should pay more of the tax burden because they are capable of paying more.
and don't start with that supply side crap, that's total bs.

a bit of a cool mofo and a bit of a jackass- like most of us
- monkeyshine0
yay! Glad to see this topic here on this lazy, cold sunday. Thought Gore was very funny as Trent Lott and especially liked the West Wing moment.
I'd vote for him. Don't think Kerry has a chance. I like him ok, think he's smart but don't think a yankee can do it. Don't think Leiberman has a chance either. What about that guy from North Carolina? What's his name? John Edwards?

again, he can go on MTV all he wants, America's youth, at least on average, is pathetically lost, especially the so-called Dems. I know all too many that could give a shit and didn't vote, including like 99% of my friends.
- BonSeff0
i forgot about the west wing skit.
classic
- unknown0
it was funny though, at least he can make fun of himself, most high profiles cannot, they think their you know doesn't stink
- kpl0
this just in: gore won't run in 2004.
nope wins!
- nope0
hehe yep. not surprised at all either.
- monkeyshine0
Jason, if 99% of your friends didn't vote they are not pathetically lost, they are just pathetic and deserve a swift kick in the ass.
...and I'd bet they are the same kids who sit in cafe's smoking and blithering on about how pathetic and evil our government is...so thank them cause they contribute to this mess by their indifference.

Damn I missed it, that I bet was funny. Did they Mimick, Mock and make fun of him the whole time?
- unknown0
I am watching Al Gore right now on 60 minutes. This is got to be one of the worst interviews I have ever seen. He is saying, "I am not running in 2004." and "This will probably be the last chance I have to run." "Oh, and buy my book."
Someone definitely paid him off not to run. Which is fine by me.

Now 60 minutes is onto Iraq's Oil story. If you get CBS, tune in now. This should be good.

yup peter - you missed it, im sure a rerun will come by soon.
- nope0
paid him off?
maybe his book isn't doing that well, and he decided that no one really cares what he has to say?
