Bass is really easy to learn and get pretty good at very quickly.
If you already play the acoustic then i guess you'll have nothing to worry about.
I started playing the bass when i was about 16. I started strumming and messing about with guitars when i was about 21 and in a band.The guitar is good for writing music to or sitting strumming on its own. Whereas with a bass, you really need a good beat to play along to and get into it.
The sound of a bass is great though. get a loop of a beat on your PC, crank up the volume and play away :)
Hope you dont mind but i went and had a look at your website. On it, its got your music tastes. I noticed you like Stevie Wonder and Joss Stone. That gets me thinkin that this girl likes her Funk and Soul.
So - I think you should go for the bass babe ;) hehe
