she had colon cancer .. pretty advanced stage. i remember clearly the lunch we had when she said she had it and she was not going to use western medicine. scared me pretty bad.
she had packets of herbs shipped from china .. one in particular was made up of chunks of venomous snake! she would boil the herbs in water and drink the juice. smelled like death. she gagged everytime. she also received regular acupuncture, regular colonics. she carried around a bag about the size of a sports bag full of herbs and homeopathic medicine.
another thing she did which i want to do soon is she built her blood by buying chinese red dates and boiling them and drinking the juice. those smelled very sweet.
it took about a year but when she was cured she had a sparkle in her eyes i had never seen. healthier than ever.
that is why i can never be mad at him for leaving.
acupunture is very interesting. it reminds me a lot of design b/c there are philosophies that aren't set ideas .. they changed according to the circumstance.
it was so much fun to learn. you become a sort of detective. you can actually diagnose people by watching their habits and behaviors.
