It's not so much the skillsets being asked for but the fact that most jobs now seem to be coming through recruitment agencies who are simply listing skills they know nothing about.
I saw an ad recently for a junior designer job asking for the normal xhtml/css stuff along with photoshop/fireworks skills but then they also claimed the applicant would need a minimum of 2 years experience, php, asp, mysql and coldfusion! All for £15k
