I hate to say this, but with each reply you continue to position yourself as simply a cog in the wheel, rehasing what is filtered down through management.

While it's great that your search engine rankings have improved, and that sales is up what does that have to do with the visual design?

If I search Google for "stereotypical middle-america mall rat uniform" and find PacSun, has the visual branding, or lacktherof aided in this process?
    I don't think so.

Maybe the branding will change in the future, but in which way? Will the look of the stores change to reflect the website?
In my opinion, what a roundabout way to make a change, with probably more than 200 retail outlets at least across the US...
Wouldn't it have made more sense to have the site reflect the look of the stores - the black and the yellow and the kind of industrial look of the stores - since that's where people mostly know PacSun from?

Or, would it make more sense to launch an overall rebranding effort across the board to match store changes with an updated website?

Certainly a website that looks nothing like the store save for that tiny out of place logo has the chance of confusing shoppers when there's really no similarity between the two.
