    here's an idea...

strengthen your private portfolio w/ira's, 401k's and such...

... and stop depending on the government to put you in pampers when you're in your late 60's.

You really want the gov supporting you when you're older? FUCK THAT... that's communism... social security is a crutch that wasn't meant to be what it is now.

Do any of you understand why social security exists?

"Prior to the turn of the 20th century, the majority of people in the United States lived and worked on farms and economic security was provided by the extended family. However, this arrangement changed as America underwent the Industrial Revolution. The extended family and the family farm as sources of economic security became less common. Then, the Great Depression triggered a crisis in the nation's economic life. It was against this backdrop that the Social Security Act emerged."

We're not living in a terrible great depression right now.

Granted - the poor are poor... but GOVERNMENT is NOT the answer. The more government you implement - the more rules you're forced to adhere to and the less freedom in my your own capitalistic financial decisions.

Social Security was invented to aid during a time of financial crisis in a tough growth situation for the U.S.

Economic depression mixed w/major industrial changes forced Roosevelt to do what he did - or this country would have failed.

We live in a time now where there are so many options for us to secure our personal futures w/out relying on some stupid Government. The Gov is there to listen to US and do what we vote in... not 'provide' for us. FUCK THAT... I'll provide for myself and my family. That's my responsibilty.

The stupid conspiracy theories about the richer getting richer and privatization to increase investment banking power is weak. Yeah - if things are privatized - people will make more money... AND SO WILL YOU. That's what 'investing' is all about.

Look into personal investments and see what you can do to support yourself.

    Social security is a weak.

It's not my responsibility to take care of you - and it's not yours to take care of me. If you need help - yeah... I'll help you. :) That's just how I am... but don't rely on the Gov to help you.
