    I hate fullscreen too with a passion but we have to remember that designers aren't (for the most part) designing for other designers with mammouth screen res.

    The average target audience is still using 1024x768 and worser still - 800x600. So in this case fullscreen is merely a way of optimising the available screen space thus minimising scrolling.

    But I believe that designers must NEVER force it and ALWAYS give the user the option.
