It is interesting....
In London you can expect to get about £26,000 which is about 70000 NZ dollars.
A flat will set you back about £800 pm minimum (for something worth living in) so basically half of your disposable income will be taken in rent.
I'm working in Sydney at the moment and freelancing I make about £42,000, and my rent is £500 p/m. So I have ~4 times the disposable income in Sydney.
Believe me you dont go to London to save money. But frankly its one of the coolest cities in the world, with the best creative industry bar none (in my opinion) and you'll have a great laugh and do some great work if you are lucky.
