    1.) Keep your fonts left justified if you can.

    2.) pt = px. (test that in illustrator / photoshop etc. etc (no difference)).

    3.) Make sure the text field is placed on an EXACT pixel. (example: CORRECT WAY: x = 3.0, y = 3.0; WRONG WAY: x = 3.2, y = 3.4).

    4.) If you're going to embed a text field into a movieclip - make sure you use the rules in number 3 above on the movieclip... BUT PLACE THE INITIAL text field on 0,0.

    ***DAFONT PIXEL FONTS ARE CRUDDY

    I've tried a good portion of them in flash - you're going to run into issues such as filled in areas and bad kerning tables.

    (example: the hole in the letter 'R' will be filled in - it doesn't matter if you're using dynamic data or you're using static text)

    Be smooth - buy your fonts. :)
