    well, they are expensive but good.
    if anyone else wonders and likes spending money:

    mercer hotel
    thompson hotel
    tribeca grand
    soho grand

    and the chelsea hotel

    tips:
    + avoid time sq
    + go to brooklyn
    + check out williamsburg to experience hipsters :)
    + go to chelsea for the galleries
    + go to the meatpacking district for the nightlife
    + take a walk in central park (many free summer events)

    and out.
