National Holiday, so the banks can realign their computer systems and catch up with the trading floors around the Globe. Because of the time differences, 3 or 4 times a year, depending on if it is a leap year, this has to be done, so all currencies and trading doesn't fly out of sink. If this didn't happen England would always be trading ahead of everyone else, and they could second guess the best shares to buy!
Crazy, but at leasts its a day off!
