design can never be dead for our society to keep existing: trends go in and out all of the time, which is not a bad thing - people need to figure out the process and key messaging, whether it is done with fluff or raw elements... personally "good design" is nothing more than an appropriate procedure, physical, manufactured, organic or digital. purity, aswell fluff does capture me for the fundamentals, what impact the key and secondary messaging has and or will capture my attention.... industry also has am imapct with the design... genres, people to satisfy, and in a main stream sense, by the time a campaign hits the streets with a targeted audience of over 2,000,000 people, the process is a little different - the amount of heads and filtering, writing, editing and fact checking is rather nuts...... my point: design is not dead, it cannot be, even for anyone of us to read this message.
