_niko: I also did a bunch of street MDMA in my rave days. For the most part that stuff is filled with speed and not very pure, not to say yours wasn't.

It should be done with a guide, someone ideally with a psychology background. You set intentions ahead of your journey day. For the sake of argument, you want to deal with your depression. The day of you take the medicine. In my case I took the MDMA, waited an hour for that to kick in and then took 4.5g of Golden Teacher mushrooms in the form of tea. After drinking the tea it's time to do in. You wear blackout shades and will be given noise cancelling headphones and a music track to aid your journey. A lot of times people will use tracks from the John Hopkins research around plant medicine.

4-6 hours later you come out a new person. Lots of people who have done psychedelics recreationally ask if it was a fun time. It's hard work, very hard work and in no way "fun." It's not meant to be.

    • very interesting, thanks for sharing :)_niko
    • is the guide/therapist interacting with you along the way or are you alone with your thoughts and working through things by yourself?_niko
    • It really depends on you. They can interact and help guide you if you're having trouble "getting in." Or they can be relatively quiet if you're doing the work.curiouscat
