    Carpet.

    I hate carpet. It's gross. It just collects dust, food crumbs dirt etc, micro organisms.

    It stains, especially if you spill your Oolong tea or worse Yerba Mate.

    You can't wipe it/wash it with bleach etc.

    If it's a light oat meal like colour it lasts 3 years max before it looks grimy.

    If it's a dark colour it sucks all the light and life out of a room and just feels depressing.

    I just don't get it. Wood floors always, modern or rustic. A rug if you must.

    Don't get me started on carpeted office floors...

    The only carpet in the whole world that is anything decent is those in Singapore Airport - the only time I've ever noticed and complimented a carpet.
