The people who know nothing about this but celebrate it anyways, and don't understand the ramifications for Iran, need to turn the situation upside down and ask themselves something pretty simple:

What if... Secretary of State Mike Pompeo or another top US military or government official were arriving at an airport in the UK - an ally - and he was killed by a drone stroke launched by Iran - a hostile adversary.

How do you think we'd react to that as Americans? As a government? As a military?

Soleimani might have been hugely important for years in terms of Iran's reach and influence on terrorism in the Middle East. But he wasn't a Bin Laden type hiding in the mountains, he was a government official for two decades. His level in government was equivalent to our security of defense or secretary of state positions.

And to those who say "but he was a bad guy and responsible for a lot of American lives lost," I have to ask the question: Are our secretaries of defense or state so innocent? The United States has waged war around the world for decades, resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths, many innocent people, attempts at regime change and waging heavy influence on other countries.

People are being incredibly short-sighted if that don't understand that equivalence, and what this situation will likely kick off.

    • Shut the fuck up mg33.robotron3k
    • Why?mg33
    • Triggered much, robo?mg33
    • PS: Be careful. Your Drake Von Drake is showing.mg33
    • It's all a distraction, from impeachment and to get the red necks on Trumps side for the election.shapesalad
    • Suleimani kills for a day job. It's ok he's gone.robotron3k
    • And I don't disagree with that. My point was / is, if you see it the way I described it, it's easier to understand the gravity of it for Iran.mg33
    • Iran Gov = silly, the people are great and they don't want to fight. The most they can do is mess with the Straights.robotron3k
    • True, our military has not killed in the same way Iran has as a major sponsor of terror. But does Iran not see us as an aggressor the same way we see them?mg33
    • Re: Iranian people: I hope you're right. I've read enough to know that a massive amount of the Iranian people want change.mg33
    • But they have the power and military and reach to fight back a lot worse than Syria or Iraq ever could.mg33
    • You guys focus on the negative of a loco President, you really need to focus on the positive parts of crazy. Trump finishes things.robotron3k
    • You know mg33, we have been hearing of Iran's strength since forever. But why the hell was Suleimani driving in a car unprotected with 2 other terrorists?robotron3k
    • I think you mean Trump "recklessly and impulsively finishes things?" Seriously, where were the Gang of 8 not briefed?mg33
    • Why did Eric Trump elude to something serious coming two days before it happened?mg33
    • Trump is best friends with the prince of Saudi Arabia, pretending there is some humanitarian or moral principle here is fucking comical.yuekit
    • That kill footage should scare Kim Jong or any world leader, Space Force must be in operation is all I can say....robotron3k
    • I don't think he would have flown in with a bunch of fanfare. I mean, Iraq is technically still an adversary of Iran, right? Going in low key seems about right.mg33
    • robodimwitutopian
    • I only imagine intelligence info could be next-level eavesdropping technology disguised as a mosquito.robotron3k
    • People were driving by the scene filming from their cars, it looked like a couple of street fires, not a person around, just quiet.robotron3k
    • Uh...they shot a car with a drone. Not exactly rocket science.yuekit
    • This kind of mentality is what makes me embarrassed to be American. Drooling bloodlust over some guy being killed that you couldn't even name the day before.yuekit
    • Suleimani would get up every AM, get his coffee and think of places to attack and people to kill. What were you saying yuekit?robotron3k
    • Meanwhile we've spent what? $7 trillion on these pointless conflicts, killed hundreds of thousands of people, and gained nothing from it.yuekit
    • The communist left has lost their mind.Hayoth
    • And that makes him somehow different from Trump's buddies in Saudi Arabia? Like the guy who literally chopped up a journalist in an embassy?yuekit
    • Stop pretending, you don't know or care about who he killed or have any idea about the implications at all. You're just happy that the U.S. bombed something.yuekit
    • What was unbelievable was the fuking chopped up guy was a billionaire!!!!!!! And Another thing, Epstein didn't kill himself!robotron3k
    • Lol this thread is so fun but I gotta get to work!robotron3k
    • lol @ Hayoth with the obligatory and confused "communist" commentmonospaced
    • :D i'm with robo, lets just kill a few more world leaders to put the shits up the centrists too.kingsteven
    • Hayoth forgot to add fluid-sexuality to that. Because sexual preference is everything to you leftist and you must lead with that, is that right mono?robotron3k
    • you guys... :)renderedred
    • great comments, but hayoth takes the win with a sole "communist" comment. LOLrenderedred
    • oh robo, aside from the fact you're the only one talking about that, it's an MGTOW hallmark to lead with sexual preferences when talking about warmonospaced
    • “He kills for a day job” is not an excuse to destabilize relations toward war, including violating the war powers act.cannonball1978
    • I thought robo liked Trump because his family has a sour military history, and wanted a pacifist, not Hillary the war monger. Guess not.inteliboy
    • @renderedred LOL exactly. "Communist" is the hot new buzzword for dimbulbs these days. Usually slung by people with zero knowlege of the basic tenets..garbage
    • ..or brutal history of communism. Over the holidays one of my uncles referred to Biden as a communist. Biden. Could barely not laugh at him.garbage

    • When people claim someone is a communist or socialist or a fascist, ask for the textbook definitions of those things. They have no ideamg33
