For me, the new stuff has only disadvantages. As long as my old MacBook Air is still alive, I am happy with it (7 years now). The updates are all disadvantages to me:
    - fingerprint login (my assistants need to operate it too)
    - weight, size, battery life all the same
    - no more card reader, only usb-c

Maybe, it's a sign I'm getting old. But this new hardware is nothing I desire.

    • TouchID is additional. You can still use the standard password typing. Also as a pro photographer you should get the new MacBook Pro's. They're great.NBQ00
    • Just don't bitch about no built-in SD card reader, get an adapter.NBQ00
    • You need a thumb for your assistants to login Simon? I can get you a thumb by 3 o'clock!Hayzilla
    • LOL @ NBQ00 trying to tell Simon how to do his job. The dude shoots naked women for a living and uses a macbook air, YOU should figure out how that works notzarkonite
    • the other way around ;)zarkonite
    • On Android you can add many fingerprints, not just yours... You should prob be able to do the same with Apple (?)Bennn
    • Hey, take it easy guys. Did not want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Love my MacBook Air.SimonFFM

    • Your assistant is chukka right?pango
    • Maybe face id can register multiple faces?pango
    • Benn has a point. Would be nice. But there is still the option for passcode. 0000 isnt to difficult is it?Hayzilla
    • Bennn does not have a point actually.monospaced
    • Ben always has a pointset
    • Ben has the best point of all time.pango
    • And if you don't actually get Bennn's point, don't worry, he'll explain it to you.Continuity
    • Bennn has a point, they sayBennn
    • Bennn has a point like no other.zarkonite
