    Late capitalism doing its thing.

Obamas investments have resulted in lots of growth in the jobs market which in-turn has increased wages.

The federal banks now see this as an opportunity to increase interests rates and put a stop to cheap money.

The only problem being, all private banks are sitting on trillions of debt so they might be squeezed to the point of failure.

Investors (rich people) shit themselves and start selling off on a ridiculously over inflated stock market prices. Despite being given one of the biggest tax windfalls in recent history.

And big business are already sitting on tons of cash reserves.

Meanwhile, lolgop are jostling for an out and a blame despite taking credit for the jobs and wage growth.

They are truly stupid corporate shills and a danger to world order.

    • If this gets a lot worse. (Pray it doesn't). Beijing might be tempted to dump US bonds and cause a run on the dollar.monoboy
    • Which would be ironic, seeing as a lot of capitalists in the UK keep pointing at Venezuela as proof socialism doesn't work. (Which it doesn't in this case).monoboy
    • ...only to have our assesses handed to us by China. A Communist regime.monoboy
    • Fuck knows what's going on now.monoboy
    • (and all the while, Trump's tax plans are adding Trillions to your national debt).monoboy
    • I read an article that suggest trump is indeed a genius, and he's provoking catastrophe (disaster capitalism) to re-set the world. God knows.monoboy

    • Socialism works. Right....Salarrue
    • If you look at the kind of Social Democracy that's happening in Europe, then yes it is.monoboy
    • The kind of socialism most refer to is the kind offered by Venezuela. Which doesn't work. Mainly down to the way the media is controlled by vested interests.monoboy
    • They don't want the brand of social democracy offered by Germany, Norway, Sweden the Netherlands and the UK.monoboy
    • These extreme and ignorant left and right views are going to cause huge problems.monoboy
    • totally agree mono. Social democracy is the only way forward currently. Venezuela was not that in the slightest. Funny thing is most would agree if the wordsfadein11
    • were changed. Decades of programming has brainwashed the common sense out of most folk.fadein11
    • only thing I do disagree with is UK as an example, currently at least.fadein11
    • I I understand your logic Social democracy works because the countries you mentions have a capitalist and stable economy and industry.Salarrue
    • In Canada that doesn't work. We have monopolies, a free health care but you need to hait minimum 13 hours to get checked in the hospital...Salarrue
    • *wait 13 hoursSalarrue
    • I agree that the citizens should have more control on the politics, laws, economy, but it is not realistic to expect the government will be good and fair.Salarrue
    • eh? so you wrote 4 comments agreeing with me. Just write one that says agreed in future and get back to making some money :)fadein11
    • @salarrue - it's a democracy not a dictatorship, if they are not "good and fair" then they are removed by the democratic process.fadein11
    • I am not against you, my point is that a social democracy needs a capitalist economy to get funded. To say that only a social democracy will work by itself...Salarrue
    • it is not realisticSalarrue
    • eh? are you talking about pure socialism because I am not and nor is monoboyfadein11
    • "Social market economy, is a socioeconomic model combining a free market capitalist economic system alongside social policies which establish both fairfadein11
    • competition within the market and a welfare state."fadein11
    • Good luck with that. Companies will always get an advantage bribing the lawmakers... But I get your point. It is the ideal scenarioSalarrue
    • It's the only realistic option currently that kind of works elsewhere, stress kind of as opposed to the extreme alternatives i.e. US and Venezuela (althoughfadein11
    • this is never a good example of socialism for various reasons).fadein11
    • I think we're all on the same page, but this fear of the word socialism as if it's either un-american or dangerous needs to stop.monoboy
    • No system of government is perfect but this plutocratic system has had it's day.monoboy
