Quick t-shirt question...and hopefully this thread is ok to ask it since I can't find the search function anymore.

I see tons of tees out there featuring movies, sports teams, celebrities, etc which clearly are unlicensed. Are these t-shirt makers just hoping they don't get caught/sued or is there some sort of loophole allowing them to make and sell tees without actually being licensed to do so?

Side question: how do you do a search on QBN these days? :)

    • search is under the hamburger menu in the top right. if said logos and other pieces are done in a parody, then it's probably safe against lawsuit.lvl_13
    • Search is through Google:
      "site: qbn.com SEARCH TERM"
      detritus
    • In short: illegally. Afaik, first stage is a cease and desist, so unless you made gajillions you don't generally get instasued.detritus
    • Most people in the prints/posters business who do this just fly under the radar, hoping for the best.detritus
    • Gotcha! That's kind of what I assumed, both about cease and desist and flying under the radar. ThanksMondoMorphic
