Just had a great experience with apple support.

My 4 year old, 15in Macbook Pro's video card died yesterday. A known problem that Apple had a program to fix for free but it unfortunately expired this past december.

Support guy on the phone didn't have the power to do anything and upgraded the call to his superior without my asking him to do so.

couple of minutes later they approved the free fix and are replacing the logic board with a brand new one.

Both guys did their best to be helpful. and no push back from either of them.

    • Sonava... they would replace mine...pango

    • They told me no.
Ok I'm gonna keep bugging them till I'm blocked.

    • Pango, yours died while the program was still active. Not sure why they would'tGnash
    • Unless the serial number didn't match the machines affected by the glitchGnash
    • They told me 3 conditions needed to be met: On the list of affected machines, Purchased with 4 years, claim submitted before the end of the program-4 mnths agoGnash
    • I bought mine 4 years and 1 month ago, was late 4 months on the program, but at least it was on the list.Gnash
    • If your MPB was on the list I really don't see a reason why they would say, no.Gnash
