Late Feb is is the new April in New York City/Brooklyn. it's still crisp outside some days but also plenty of chances for just a tshirt. It's 58° right now and I just came back from the best bike ride. Yesterday I swear it was 70 at some point.

I'm not usually in New York in February (usually Nov-Jan) but when I am, it's snowing like crazy, cold and icy still. Is this the canary in the coal mine - beautiful east coast Februaries? This winter felt like nothing and it definitely feels like its over now. I just don't understand the seasonal depression thing (at least this far south). Being from the west coast, I expected more of a beating from a full stay, east coast winter. I had a friend that once said she was suicidal after experiencing a New York City winter so she just had to move to LA. Now I definitely believe she's an overdramatic, lazy, cunt.

    • This isn't normal.monospaced

    • True. We had a warm fake out last year too followed by a frigid march.monospaced
    • i wouldn't mind a touch more weather before we transition into the hot mouth of summer.shellie
    • Is this where it's okay to say LA is pretty cold these days? No one ever thinks LA is cold enough. lol it was 33°f in the city a day ago.sea_sea
    • I wouldn't think this is normal. Like others have said, I wouldn't put away my cold weather gear yet. We were out there right after New Years and it reminded...lvl_13
