I would break down user research questions into two groups:

    1. Existing Users
    2. New Users

Audit the existing user's experience with regards to ease of use (can I find what I need), core experience (is it easy to perform these tasks when creating), and feature improvements (what's missing, what needs to be added.)

For new users ask if the sign in/up experience is clear, do I understand what this product does, are the product features (ease of use) easy and clear.

Align those with the current strategy and you'll be well on your way. I also like to consider/pitch to the business a bit of A/B testing strategy into the plan. Design different elements and see if you can sell them on testing.

    • Good list! Keep in my mind, don't ASK people what they want. Rather understand their goals and give them what they need.studderine
