Ok first of all, we need to clarify some stuff here. Building an app and reasonable success are two different things. The success of an app depends on the marketing, ability to rescale and understandable pricings.
Then, if someone with experience tells you your idea is not going to work you need to accept it or work on a compromise.
And last, always remember the fairy tale "The Emperor's New Clothes" when you have a meeting. Let me know if you want a skype talk or soemthing like that, I have been coding for 34 years now and can at least be an advisor for you.- 34 years of experience?!!? how the hell do you charge for that?Maaku
