Holy crap the mid-season finale episode was really, really bad. There was just a meandering, almost non-existent plot, basically not a single character has any redeeming factors left, they're willfully stupid over and over again, and I just can't see how the writers went so wrong with such a solid start in the city. I wish production could just hit the reset button on this one, the universe is good, a couple of the characters are good, but the writers and production are just making a mess of it. Pity.

- About 5 minutes in to this episode I finally gave up and switched off. You're absolutely right, the writing is abysmal and there are no signs of it improving.mort_
