What's that? Details?

- New show, from makers of WD. Basically, what happens before WD show started and how it all started.fyoucher1

If someone just walked into a bar and said they saw some real zombie shit, I'd call them crazy for sure. I feel for the few that catch on before the masses do.

I'm enjoying the faster pace ... going back to watching Rick and company in October will feel like a soap opera.
- true, it will be weird to watch both shows... but it seems its coming back nicelyfeel
- Faster pace? I've spent three episodes waiting for something to happen. Feel like I'm waiting Game of Thrones.MondoMorphic
- I like the pace. Really nails the fear part. Glad it's not just tons of the same.monospaced

this being l.a., curious if they'll show fake-boob / plastic surgery zombies
- Atlanta had no fat fuck zombies. Don't get your hopes up.monospaced

They're spending too much energy trying to make it a sappy drama, which is particular bad considering how cliche the characters are. E.g., the bleeding heart pacifist is going to have to come to terms with killing zombies. Wow...never seen that before.
Kirkman's intention was to make FTWD more about interpersonal BS, which is what he tried to do with the Walking Dead but finally gave up when it became clear that this wasn't what people wanted. For the life of me I can't imagine why he's again trying to stuff a zombie apocolypse-themed soap opera down peoples' throats.
I do really like the cinematic style FTWD is filmed in, but that alone isn't enough to keep me watching.
- well then, guess we know who's downvoting everything here.horton

would be interesting if they merged the 2 at some point

AMC is putting zombies on a plane in a new Walking Dead special
The half-hour episode will take place in the same time period as Fear the Walking Dead, Entertainment Weekly reports. The episode is also something of a teaser, because one surviving character from the airplane special will appear again on the second season of Fear the Walking Dead. It seems likely only one character will survive the episode.

- You think it was that plane they showed swerving over LA in the last episode?monospaced
- I thought that plane would've crashed on-screen because of a zombie infestation. Why else would they have showed it? ;)Jaline

- thx Gnash, I am now edjamacated! :)keewee
- @mono yup I'd say definitely the same planehorton

WELL. I've just caught myself up on both shows (wife and son are away so it's okay to binge 17 episodes of zombie TV through a weekend). I love it, fucking brilliant.
I liked the LA one, nice to see some familiar locations all crazy. I actually quite like the slower build because in 'Walking' it's gotten to the point where no ones really scared of the walkers any more... makes it less impactful when everyone's covered in zombie blood all the time. I always liked that bit in 28 Days Later where the guy got a TINY bit of blood in his eye and then just turned in 30 seconds
On 'Fear' is it exactly the same universe as 'Walking'? Like are the infection / bite 'rules' the same?
Dig it all though.

Fear of me smashing those goddamn terra cotta wind chimes...

Is it still a zombie show if it doesn't have zombies?

AMC now has an official airdate for that Fear The Walking Dead webseries we previously reported on back in August. Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462 will take place across a total of 16 installments, with the first debuting on AMC.com this Sunday, October 4, to coincide with the Fear The Walking Dead season finale. That same chapter will then air “as promos” during two commercial breaks in The Walking Dead’s season six premiere on October 11.
- First they give us a 6 episode season and now, they're going to make us wait a week for another one minute of a story??CyBrainX

Episode 6 makes you feel like you've been through the wringer, but it's the best so far I think. One part of the show has your heart racing for about 15 minutes non-stop, it's great. There's some properly brutal violence, too.
